Pastor Todd Jones

Beginning Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, I am honored to serve the Spearfish UCC Congregational as Pastor. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to join you during this meaningful season in the life of the church, and I look forward to walking alongside you in faith, worship, and service.

As a follower of Christ, I try to remain grounded in the words of Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” This Scripture speaks powerfully to the truth of God’s presence in all seasons of life, reminding us that, by His strength, we are guided forward with hope and purpose.

I am a graduate of Methodist Theological School in Ohio, where I earned a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Alcohol and Drug Addiction Ministry. I was ordained by Radnor Congregational UCC on March 1, 1998, and have been blessed to serve churches in eastern South Dakota and Iowa. In 2017, I moved to the Black Hills, where I continued to remain active in ministry as a worship leader and pulpit supply pastor.

As we travel this Way together, may we lean into the promise of Joshua 1:9, confident that God’s promises never fail. Thank you for your faithfulness to this congregation and for welcoming me into your church family. Together, let us continue to live as people of faith, remembering that “God is still speaking,” holding unity in what is essential, liberty in non-essentials, and charity in all things.
